‘Star Trek Into Darkness’: J.J. Abram’s continuation of the great reboot

What J.J. Abrams is doing to the Star Trek franchise is brilliant. I’m not sure I’ve seen a franchise rebooted in a better fashion than the two most recent Star Trek films. Abrams has masterfully woven unending references from the original stories into an alternate timeline that allows new viewers to not fall behind.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was a notch above Frontier but lacked the depth and cleverness of the other movies. My final review of my Star Trek Maiden Voyage has arrived.

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

 

(1989 – Director: William Shatner   Cast: William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy)

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier had glimpses of greatness, but continually shot them down with disappointment.  Without the help of ILM’s special effects and the frantic ending, this movie didn’t live up to its predecessors. Read the rest of my review as I continue my Star Trek Maiden Voyage.
