This Memorial Day weekend I decided to dedicate it to watching movies that are some of my fan favorites but haven’t seen for a long time.

The Lives of Others

This past weekend I took a look back  at one of my favorites from 2006, The Lives of Others. It’s an insightful film that takes us into the stale, corrupt world of Stasi controlled East Germany.

Restless

 

 

 

(2011 – Director: Gus Van Sant   Cast: Henry Hopper, Mia Wasikowska)

Restless is a movie that’s obsessed with death, but it ends up full of life and joy.  It’s a touching story that is wonderfully directed and written.
